Managed Server Packages

MS packages compute resource and storage as a metered service similar to a traditional public utility company. This frees the client from large capital expenses associated with acquiring, installing, and maintaining a private server.

This table summarizes the advantages of ETA's Managed Server.

ETA Managed Server Client-owned server
Flexibility CPU or storage capacity can be added in minutes, with negligible disruption and minimal additional cost. CPU and storage are bounded by hardware limitations, requiring system or storage upgrade, possibly requiring replacement of entire server. Significant disruption and cost.
Reliability ETA uses multiple redundant servers. In the unlikely event of a server failure, client's services can be automatically moved to another server in minutes. Failure of client server can result in significant downtime for replacement parts, data restoration, etc.
Disaster Recovery Client data is on high-availability, enterprise-class storage array located in ETA's Class-A datacenter. This array uses RAID-6 technology to safeguard client data. Data is backed up daily to a secondary data center. Client data is located on server located in client office space. Unless client performs regular backups and takes them off site, a fire or other disaster can result in destruction of both primary and backup data.
